March Break Family Event: All About Eclipses

Date: Tuesday, March 12th, 2024

Time: 2pm – 4pm

Location: Rm. 118, McLennan Physical Labs, U of T

A solar eclipse is a rare and awe-inspiring celestial event. On April 8th, Southern Ontario will have a chance to experience this phenomenon, as the moon’s shadow is cast on the Sun. In this interactive workshop, you will have the chance to explore different aspects of this cosmic event through hands-on activities. You will learn about and make your own pinhole projector, explore the Earth-Sun-Moon system to learn about how eclipses work, and, weather permitting, view the sun through our solar telescope.

This event is now full.

To be placed on the waitlist, register via this linked online form by March 10th, 2024.
