Family Housing

Student Family Housing is a supportive and welcoming place for full-time degree program students with partners and/or children in two high-rise buildings located on Charles St. W., in walking distance from St. George campus. It also offers a small number of apartment units in the Huron-Sussex area of the St. George Campus behind Robarts Library that can accommodate a couple or parent(s) with a child. Apply online and if interested in short-notice rentals, email studentadmissions.ufh@utoronto.ca / call their office at 416-978-8049 afterwards for possible available units.

The Charles Street Drop-in Centre provides parents of the Student Family Housing apartments and their children age five years and under with a place to meet and socialize. The centre is staffed by a supervisor, trained in Early Childhood Education (ECE), work/study students, volunteers, and parents. Parents are expected to stay and participate in the various activities and playtime. The program is free and is restricted to children of student families living at Charles Street. For hours and further details visit the Student Family Housing website.

Apartments at Charles Street are not large enough to accommodate a family with three children. Students on a degree-granting program with large families may want to look at UTM Family Housing.
